Our interventions
Latifa Ibn Ziaten
Our action
As close as possible to young people and families listening and exchanging
The association IMAD for youth and peace is present in the educational institutions, as well as detentions places or closed homes in collaboration with PJJ “judicial protection of youth”.
The number of meted people throughout every intervention varies, between 100 to 300 in educational institutions, and between 10 to 50 in prison environment. The mid school pupils and high school pupils and their parents generally come from disadvantaged neighbourhoods all as detainees.
Latifa Ibn Ziaten goes personally to express and to exchange with the youth. The establishment of this direct dialogue aims to transmit or to remind people of the republican values, to seek peace and the living-together, in order to stand against the extreme political and religious indoctrination, of any kind that could lead to lawlessness, radicalization and terrorism.
In the actual context, the problems of radicalization harm the security of our nation of course, but they also weaken one of the foundations of our republic: the "living together".
After number of meetings and exchanges, both with young people and with those who accompany them daily, which are necessary to us for contributing to the research of long-term solutions, holding different views on violent behaviours that we can only sentence, but who characterizes a real malaise, that we must take in consideration, this leadership that we chose, with the will to work by reconciliation among the suffering youth from the feeling of exclusion and from a society of values in which they do not recognize.
It is highly requested to intervene among the educational institutions and families, as well as the penitentiary institutions, Latifa ibn Ziaten makes sure that the work starts throughout her interventions in the field and to extend in a way that produces a long term effect. the association organizes individual interviews, that accompany some youth in the development of a project and are available as mush as they can with teachers and coaches in the prison’s environment.
